More like a week in the life
By Gordon on 7/18/2004

I had hoped that I would be posting entries on a regular basis, even approaching daily. That has not been the case. I guess that every time I start, I think that maybe something "post-worthy" will happen soon, so I wait. Much more fun to post something good, like "Hey, I got a job!" rather than "Today was another day in the unemployment line". Maybe I need to start paying more attention to the little things in life that occur each day. Like the big hugs I got from the boys when I walked downstairs this morning, or the giggles I got from Aaron as we played atop his new bunk bed.

Anyhow, here is some news for the week:
We got Aaron his "big boy" bed. A bunk bed with built in bookshelves and desk. As soon as we purchase a mattress for the top bunk, Jacob will be able to "sleep over". They are both very excited about it. And so far, Aaron has not figured out that he can get off the bed and walk out of his room. Instead, he stays on his bed and cries when put down for a nap. I suppose he will fig ...

4th of July wrap up
By Gordon on 7/7/2004

We had a great weekend in West Virginia at our friend's, the Skolniks, house on the Potomac. Although the weather on Sunday was cloudy, their annual party was fun as usual. Jacob did a lot of swimming in the river. He even began jumping into the river, which for him was a big advancement. He was doing cannonballs and jackknives and even got close to doing regular dives. He loves to swim and it seems the lessons at camp are paying off. Aaron was a big hit as well, with everyone commenting on just how cute he is. Of course, they don't get to see him being a "terrible two". Even Guinness had fun, swimming in the river and running around with other dogs that were at the party. All in all, it was a fun, relaxing weekend "in the country".

Bonnie has been at work now for two weeks and it seems that she enjoys it. Hopefully she will be able to make an impact and move up the career ladder. I am still searching for a job. I had several interviews last week and a positive interview today, so hopefully I wil ...

A Brief History
By Gordon on 6/30/2004

Since it has been quite a while since my website (in any of its previous forms) has been updated, I should bring everyone up to speed.

Bonnie: Bonnie's lucrative contract with Pfizer ended last December. After a bit of a slow start in searching for a new job, she was finally hired and began work last week with Arbitron, Inc. So far, her biggest complaint has been that she can't seem to get home in less than 11 minutes. What a shame!

Gordon: Last month I was terminated from my job with InvokeSystems, so I have been spending the past several weeks searching for a new job. For those who are interested, I am looking for a job as a senior web application developer using Microsoft .NET architectures. Also, three weeks ago I herniated a disc in my lower back, so in between scanning internet job boards, I have been lying supine in bed resting my back.

Jacob: Jacob, now 5 years old, started camp last week at Beth ...

Day 1
By Gordon on 6/29/2004

My new family site is up and running. I hope to use this area to keep you all updated on our family. Here I will enter stories about the boys, news of the family, and anything else that may be of interest. This probably won't be a daily occurence, but hopefully once a week I will add an entry or two. Check back often, and comment if you like.
